We are a local non-profit registered charity that supports foster kids and the families that are raising them. We can only do what we do with the support of our community. Please explore this website to see how you can get involved.
By helping families, we help kids
The Fraser Valley Foster Parent Association offers support and training to foster parents and out-of-care caregivers within the Fraser Valley. We provide a variety of ways to connect caregivers, such as breakfast meetings, our Facebook group, special events and workshops.
Fraser Valley Foster Parents Association acknowledges the traditional territories of all the Coastal Salish people where we have the privilege of living and working.

Becoming a member helps us grow our organization and helps Foster Parents in the Fraser Valley have a bigger voice in foster care in our Province.
Family Experiences
"The community I’ve discovered through membership in the FVFPA has been invaluable to me as a new foster parent.
The workshops are a place to not only learn a new perspective on a concept I studied in my training but, most importantly, to make connections and friends with other people who have the same passion I have for these amazing kids! The days can get long and the parenting difficult but having someone to reach out to when I need an understanding shoulder or a more experienced perspective has made all the difference this year.”
Are You a Foster Parent in BC?
We would love to have you join us in our private Facebook Group. We require you to answer a few questions prior to being approved. Our group provides support and ideas for foster parents. Confidentiality is expected and the group is private.
Not a Foster Parent?
We also have a public Facebook page for all of our community to follow. We would love to have you there. We share useful advice, upcoming campaigns and calls to action. We would also love if you check out our “How to Help” page for other ways you can support foster care in BC.
